About Wagoner
welcome

Wagoner, the seat of Wagoner County, is a town of approximately 7,600 interesting and diverse people. Additionally, there are almost that many people living within a 10-mile radius of the city limits on Fort Gibson Lake. This population has created the demand for several housing developments in the city and surrounding area.  Wagoner is on the east edge of one of the fastest-growing counties in Oklahoma and that growth is spilling into Wagoner as people realize what a great community this is for both families and retirees.

Wagoner is at a crossroads of America - U.S. 69 leading leading north to Pryor and south to Muskogee, and Oklahoma 51, leading west to Tulsa and east to Tahlequah. While we have several industries and employment opportunities here, this easy access to other communities makes this a great place to live and puts us minutes away from numerous entertainment, shopping and job opportunities.

Wagoner voters were far-sighted enough several years ago to dedicate a portion of our city sales tax to economic development and we have a very active industrial authority that is committed to bringing more jobs here.

In addition, our local businesses and merchants have banded together to revitalize our retail base.
